Vehicle specification management for Honda
I worked with Honda Japan and Honda Americas to customise Enovia, the PLM application they use. I designed and developed the vehicle specification management module, from requirements gathering through to implementation and delivery. I also worked on maintenance and enhancement projects throughout my time at HCL.

The problem
Honda needed issue and variant management in their PLM application. I travelled to Japan to understand the current system and the requirements for the new module. Based on those discussions, we developed a proof of concept that was presented at HCL Americas and helped secure a project worth $200K in revenue.
What I decided
- Built a proof of concept that was presented at HCL Americas and helped win a $200K project.
- Designed and built the vehicle specification management module in Enovia.
- Optimised the REST APIs and improved page load times by 25%.
- Refactored core modules onto Java 8 for a 15% performance gain.
